When: Thursday June 27th, 7 pm to 10 pm.
Where: kwartzlab, 33 Kent Ave., Kitchener.
Cost: $11 non-members; $9 members
(All proceeds go towards buying several sets of lino cutters for the lab! Hoorah!)
Participants will go home with 2 or 3 reusable, washable rubber stamps which can be used on paper, fabric, etc. (really any flat medium provided you have the right ink). Those who are finished their stamps early will have the opportunity to test their stamps on postcards, and try out the stamps that other participants have made.
You may make your stamps on any theme and draw your own design, or choose from some printed motifs that will be provided.
Participants who want to print out their own images are encouraged to do so ahead of time, however we can quickly do this at the lab too if brought on a USB stick. Please avoid images with lots of thin lines or text (though single letters would work great). Please keep the size of the linoleum provided in mind as well.
Each person will receive at least a 3”x 4” piece of linoleum to work with which we recommend dividing into 2 or more pieces in order to work on multiple designs/stamps. (We may or may not have extra linoleum, depending on sign-up numbers- the more people who sign up ahead of time the more we can get, so please book in advance if possible!)
The workshop is limited to 8 people so book your spot today! Please sign up via facebook or email Heather to reserve your spot: heather.a.morton(AT)gmail.com, or on our facebook group https://www.facebook.com/events/500781576660149/
(Once all spots are full, we will keep a wait list in case of any last minute cancellations.)
